Is God Ego Trippin'?

Muse: A lot of us grew up singing about how great God is without ever asking the obvious question: does He really need us to say that? Is God's desire for constant worship... God ego-trippin'?

Pastor Deb: God is not offended by our questions. Proverbs 4:7 tells us, "Wisdom is the principal thing." Fair question. It deserves a real answer, not a stained-glass smile.

“Some folks might call that question blasphemous. I call it Tuesday.”

Look at Isaiah 48:11: "For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it." He says it twice. God said the quiet part out loud before the skeptics ever showed up to ask about it.

Regardless of Israel's behavior, He would remain faithful — consistent with who He is, no matter the situation, the circumstance, the attitude, or the altitude.
